Preparation and Usage
- To roast
- Before cooking: Preheat oven. Top and tail the parsnips. Peel and cut into quarters. Heat oil in a roasting tray in the oven and add seasoning as desired. Parboil the parsnips in a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well. Add the parsnips to the tray and coat in the oil. Place tray on the middle shelf of the oven.
- During cooking: Turn halfway through cooking.
- After cooking: Check food is piping hot.
- To roast
- 200°C/Fan 180°C/Gas 6
- 35-40 mins
- To steam
- Before cooking: Top and tail the parsnips. Peel and cut into quarters. Place parsnips in the steamer.
- During cooking: Take care that the pan does not boil dry.
- After cooking: Remove carefully. Check food is piping hot.
- To steam cook
- Moderate heat
