Moo Local Age-Restricted Item Delivery Policy.
At Moo Local, it is our policy to check a customer's ID for all orders containing age-restricted items, regardless of whether the customer appears to be over the legal age.
It is illegal to sell age-restricted products to anyone under the age of 18. Therefore, when delivering such items, it is our responsibility to ensure that we do not hand over age-restricted products to anyone underage.
ID Verification Process
When we receive an order, we check the receipt to identify if it includes alcohol or other age-restricted products, and take necessary steps to verify that the recipient is over 18.
If an order contains alcohol, it is equally important to ensure that the customer is not intoxicated at the time of delivery.
Drivers Must Not:

Deliver age-restricted products without verifying a valid ID, or if the ID appears suspicious or fake. In such cases, contact Customer Support immediately and do not complete the delivery.

Deliver alcohol if the customer appears to be intoxicated.

Leave age-restricted products anywhere other than the delivery address.

Deliver age-restricted items if the customer fails to provide valid ID. In these cases, return the items (e.g., alcohol and tobacco) to the store.

Hesitate to ask for ID.

Rely solely on the customer's verbal confirmation of their age (i.e., asking their date of birth without checking ID).

Deliver alcohol to public places. Alcohol may only be delivered to residential or business addresses.
Accepted Forms of ID
Drivers should accept the following forms of valid photo identification:

A passport

A UK photocard driving licence

A photographic ID card bearing the PASS (Proof of Age Standards Scheme) hologram
Driver ID Checks – What to Look For:

Match the photo on the ID with the person presenting it.

Check the ID’s expiry date to ensure it is still valid.

Verify the customer’s date of birth to confirm they are 18 or older.
If the customer is over 18 and ID is valid, complete the delivery and mark it as delivered.
If the customer is under 18 or unable to present valid ID:

Do not deliver the age-restricted items (e.g., alcohol or tobacco).

You may still deliver the rest of the order, but the age-restricted items must be returned to the store.
